My favorite starter question is “How is your world?”1 because it assumes that you, dear reader, have constructed your own reality. You and a hard-working team of sensitivities, wounds, conditionings, privileges and desires has worked diligently to build your unique way of seeing.
It is because of this plurality of the worlds, we see different things in the same movie. For example, in my world, a Wound of Sexism auto-calculates gender ratio of yet another men-dominated cast. Meanwhile in your world, a Wound of Racism makes you subtly pick up on diminishing of the dark-skin humans.
When you feel like no one understands you fully, well.. that’s because its not possible dear being. My organism had its own life happenings pass through me and my organism will never see the world in the same way as you do.
But hey — what we can do is co-create a shared reality. In fact, thanks to language, religions, culture and whatnot we share many bits of our worlds - and its exciting to keep expanding the shared world while acknowledging the differences of our seeing.
So how is your world?
Huggingly,

Thank you Evan Conrad who first introduced this question to me and the many human beans before him who passed it to him.
